Handcrafted in America's heartland. Smoke Eater Customs in Wadsworth Ohio was founded in 2007. With a skill handed down from his father for superior quality handcrafted gifts, each order is made individually to become the finest quality Fire Helmets, Plaques and Shields available on the market.
Dale was a Firefighter / Paramedic and says he still cherishes the honor of the brotherhood, and wants to share his love of the Fire Service with others. Barbara said he can remember wanting to be a firefighter since he was a child and has always had an artistic flair.
We start with the finest quality helmets on the market today from Honeywell and Chieftain. We use the latest in airbrush technology and automotive acrylic finishes made exclusively for the airbrush industry. With our designs, your creation is limited only by your imagination.
Smoke Eater Customs has been the Exclusive Artist for Morning Pride , Fire Dex and many others . Our work has been featured at the Worlds Largest Firefighter Training Conference, The FDIC in Indianapolis as a guest of Morning Pride .
Smoke Eater Customs has also been given the honor of sponsoring the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge’s Hottest Helmet Award at the World Challenge in Las Vegas yearly since 2007. Their work has also been on display at the Ohio State Firefighter Association OSFA Annual Conference , the Trumbull County Fire & EMS Expo the Cleveland Fire Training Academy and many others.
Dale is also the exclusive artist for Benjamin's Fire Brigade in Hartville, Ohio. We have painted custom fire helmets and shields for all kinds of customers including CNBC News, Morning Pride, Fire-Dex, World Combat Challenge,The cities of Greensboro, Houston, Washington D.C.and many more fire departments and fire companies across the nation.
